How many boat slips does Palm Cay marina have?
Palm Cay has the largest small to midsize marina in New Providence with 194 slips, all on fixed docks.
What size boat can you take and what is your depth?
Palm Cay Marina can take any size vessel between 18 feet and 100 feet. Our depth at low tide in 9 feet and 12 feet at high.
What are your prices at Palm Cay?
Transient Slip Prices:
• From $4 – $8 per foot per day
Rates vary depending upon season and specific slip.
Is there a 24 hour security on the docks?
Palm Cay 69 acre development has 24hr security, include regular patrols of docks, additionally; access to the marina is controlled by Seagate.
What amenities/facilities do you have at Palm Cay Marina?
Palm Cay Marina is a state of the art marina, located in the top resort development in The Bahamas. Transient boaters have access to:
Fuel facilities, dockside café and store, bait, ice, pump out, WI-FI, Beach Club, Restaurant and Bar, Adults pool, kids pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, children’s playground, Spa, Gym (indoor and outdoor), shower and bathroom facilities – with more facilities being built currently such as resort spa, liquor store and padel court.

At Palm Cay we have worked hard to make sure we deliver flawless service to all of our clients. The concierge service means that clients can receive anything from boat provisioning to captain services arranged by our Harbour Master or if you are going out for the day with your boat the restaurant can deliver packed lunches – whatever the request, we will endeavour to serve you.
While my boat is in the marina are there houses I can rent?
Yes – we will have beachfront and ocean view townhomes/condos available to transit boaters for rent. Our luxury beachfront development The Cove can be reserved subject to availability. Contact reservations@palmcay.com for more information.
Can I clear Bahamian customs at Palm Cay?
Yes Palm Cay Marina is an Official Port of Entry in to The Bahamas.
What does the cruising permit entail and what insurance do I have to have?
Regulation 91 of the principal Regulation is amended in the new bill, with changes to temporary cruising permit fees. The fee for pleasure crafts for a period not exceeding 12 months are as follows:
For vessels under 50 feet in length – $500.
For vessels 50 to 99 feet in length – $1,000.
For vessels over 100 feet in length – $3,000.
These fees cover:
Cruising permit under regulation 90(a)
Attendance fees by a customs officer for attendance and travel expenses
Overtime and travel expenses in respect of the attendance of an immigration officer.
Entrance into The Bahamas twice within a 30 day period.
These fees will not apply for ancillary equipment being towed or on board a pleasure vessel, excluding tenders exceeding 25 feet in length. The fee for a tender vessel exceeding 25 feet will be $500 for a period not exceeding 12 months.
When a pleasure vessel carries more than three passengers, every additional passenger of or above the age of six and who is not an ordinary resident of the Bahamas will be subjected to a tax of $30.
Can I purchase a slip?
Yes – in order to purchase a slip the buyer must be a Palm Cay property owner.
Will there be dock boxes? How many per slip?
Yes, there will be dock boxes throughout the marina however they must be approved by Palm Cay for Brand and size specification. We have room for 1 dock box per slip.
Where are the pedestals for power & water placed?
On the docks they are approximately 10ft. from slip and two vessels will share one pedestal.
Is there internet on the marina?
We have free wifi at the Palm Cay Marina.
What is the type of dock? What is the construction?
Fixed, wooden docks tied to pilings.
What are the restrictions on the docks?
No cleaning, sump dump in the marina or fishing within the marina. Cleaning facilities will be provided. And no major repairs on the dock.
Is fuel available at the marina?
Yes, Palm Cay has Gas and Diesel available – 365 days per year.
Can you live aboard the boat?
Owners may be permitted to live aboard, with permission from Palm Cay Management
What is the cost of electricity and water?
Electricity $0.85/kw, Water $0.35/Gallon.
What is the ownership – are the slips long term lease?
Slips may only be purchased along with the purchase of a condo. Long term leases are available to members and homeowners.
