Where is Palm Cay Marina?
Palm Cay Marina is situated on the southeastern shore of New Providence, only 28 Miles away from the Exumas, making Palm Cay the ideal jumping off point to explore the Islands of The Bahamas. Palm Cay is also 15 minutes away from Paradise Island and 35 Minutes from the Sir Lynden Pindling International Airport – our complimentary shuttle service will be able to take you anywhere in the island.
How many boat slips does Palm Cay marina have?
Palm Cay has the largest small to midsize marina in New Providence with 194 slips, all on fixed docks.
What size boat can you take and what is your depth?
Palm Cay Marina can take any size vessel between 18 feet and 110 feet. Our depth at low tide in 9 feet and 12 feet at high.
What are your prices at Palm Cay?
• Transient dockage: $2.00 per ft per day
• Monthly dockage: $1.75 per ft per day (up to 3 months)
• Yearly dockage: $0.45 cents per ft per day for boats under 40ft. Minimum = $250 per month
• Yearly dockage: $0.65 cents per ft per day for boats over 40ft
• Catamaran rates subject to negotiation dependent on the beam of the vessel
Is there a 24 hour security on the docks?
Palm Cay 69 acre development has 24hr security, include regular patrols of docks, additionally; access to the marina is controlled by Seagate.
What amenities/facilities do you have at Palm Cay Marina?
The Palm Cay Marina is brand new, containing state-of-the-art facilities and amenities. Palm Cay marina services will include fuel dock facilities, a marina store, fish cleaning station, boat cleaning program, Wi-Fi, restaurant & bar catered by Chives Dockside Cafe, Pools, lighted tennis courts, playgrounds, concierge service and much more.

At Palm Cay we have worked hard to make sure we deliver flawless service to all of our clients. The concierge service means that clients can receive anything from boat provisioning to captain services arranged by our Harbour Master or if you are going out for the day with your boat the restaurant can deliver packed lunches – whatever the request, we will endeavour to serve you.
While my boat is in the marina are there houses I can rent?
Yes – we will have beachfront and ocean view townhomes available to transit boaters for rent. We also have a Condo Hotel Resort which is planned for construction on the outer rim of the Marina at a later phase in development.
Can I clear Bahamian customs at Palm Cay?
Yes Palm Cay Marina is an Official Port of Entry in to The Bahamas.
What does the cruising permit entail and what insurance do I have to have?
The Cruising permit is valid for 90days with unlimited re-entry. Once the 90days expires your permit would need to be renewed.
Can I purchase a slip?
Yes – In order to purchase a slip the buyer must already be a Palm Cay Property owner. When buying a slip, the buyer must agree to our owner’s rental program, where there is a 70/30 rental split.
Will there be dock boxes? How many per slip?
Yes, there will be dock boxes throughout the marina however they must be approved by Palm Cay for Brand and size specification. We have room for 1 dock box per slip.
Where are the pedestals for power & water placed?
On the docks they are approximately 10ft. from slip and two vessels will share one pedestal.
Is there internet on the marina?
At this time there is free Wi-fi available at the Clubhouse Facility. Coming soon, internet services will be available at the marina for a fee.
What is the type of dock? What is the construction?
Fixed, wooden docks tied to pilings.
What are the restrictions on the docks?
No cleaning, sump dump in the marina or fishing within the marina. Cleaning facilities will be provided. And no major repairs on the dock.
Is there fuel available at the marina?
Yes, both gas and diesel will be available however at this time it is by appointment only.
What are the maintenance fees on dock slips?
Maintenance for dock slips is $500 per annum.
Can you live aboard the boat?
Yes, however owners cannot live aboard the boat for a period exceeding 5 days.
What is the cost of electricity and water?
Electricity $0.50/kw, Water $0.35/Gallon.
What is the ownership – are the slips long term lease?
Boat slip ownership is in fee simple, as pervious noted long term & short term leases are also available.
